“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 23.23-24) You cannot hide from God. He is everywhere, knows everything, and is all powerful.

The above passage reminds us that God is everywhere. There is nowhere that He can be hidden from. This concept is beyond human understanding. Especially when you add in scriptures like God being too holy to look upon sin. A natural question would be; “how can God be in a place where sin is present?” God is always present and knows every sin. He keeps a record that will be revealed in judgement. He will bear testimony of the infractions of His rules. He was present when they were being broken. He is everywhere.

Being everywhere, God knows everything. But, knowing everything is not limited to His ability to observe. He knows the heart. He knows intention. He can bear witness to our desires and fears, our faith and our failures. God knows your problems and the things that bother you. He also knows your desire to do good and your intentions to improve your walk and increase your faith.

These two qualities are daunting because God is all powerful. Never forget that the God of love and mercy is also the very one who will send millions to burn in eternal hellfire. There will be a day when all deeds are repaid, and the evil will get what is coming to them. But that is not so for the Christian. Are you a Christian? If you are reading this, I imagine you are. Live for God! Show the evil people of this world that there is an all-powerful God who will forgive.

While God will absolutely punish the evil, He desires all men (and women) to be saved! He is looking for any reason to extend you mercy! If you are trying to live righteously, He will uphold you with His mighty right hand. He is on your side. Your ally is an Omnipresent (everywhere), Omniscient (all knowing), Omnipotent (all powerful) God. What can this world do to you?
