Jesus loves me! This I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is strong 274-a. Why did my Savior come to earth, and to the humble go? Why did he choose a lowly birth? Because He loved me so 301. Must Jesus bear the cross alone, and all the world go free? No, there’s a cross for everyone. And there’s a cross for me 300. A charge to keep I have. A God to glorify; a never dying soul to save and fit it for the sky. To serve the present age, my calling to fulfil. O may it all my powers engage to do the Master’s will 215. Help me bear, and to share, some poor pilgrim’s load. Be my friend to the end of the toilsome road, I would sing to my King in the soul’s abode, “Let me live close to Thee each day” 201. [Although] trials press on every side and many snares there be; I look in simple faith to Him who calmed the stormy sea. He is the Shepherd, kind and true, His sheep He’ll ever feed. This cheers me on and makes me strong: Christ’s love is all I need 264. Take His yoke, for He is meek and lowly. Bear His burden; to Him turn. He who calleth is the Master holy; He will teach if you will learn 78.
Teach me Thy patience! Still with Thee in closer, dearer company, in work that keeps faith sweet and strong, in trust that triumphs over wrong 164. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, by the power of grace divine. Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, and my will be lost in Thine 4. Lord Jesus, I see [you do] patiently wait: come now and within me a new heart create. To those who have sought Thee, [You] never [said] no: now was me and I shall be whiter than snow 612.
God is calling the Prodigal, come without delay. Hear, O, hear Him calling, calling now for thee. [Although] you’ve wandered so far from his presence, come today. Hear His loving voice calling still 596. Jesus loves me! He who died, Heaven’s gates to open wide. He will wash away my sin. Let His little child come in. Jesus loves me- the Bible tells me so! 274-a
