WHO WE ARE
We are a New Testament church that patterns our worship after Biblical example.
Jesus said that true worshipers worship God "in spirit and in truth." Worship must come from within us, and it must be genuine.
We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. We look to it for the answers to all of life's questions, including doctrine and practice.
2021 SERMON TOPICS
Sermons are not opportunities to bash or insult. Sermons are messages of the hope of Salvation. The messages to be delivered at Poor Fork are set prior to the beginning of the year, for the year. This year we focus on fellowship. Would you like to see what we have coming up in 2021?
Let us consider how to stir one another to love and good works
Please note: All small group activities have been cancelled due to COVID-19
SONG LEARNING CLASS
Sing and make melody! This group gathers to learn more of the songs in the song book. These members are not a choir, but a group that desires to increase in knowledge of praises to return to their creator.
(Currently suspended for the winter)
"Let no one despise your youth". What an exhortation! Learning to cope with today's changing world while establishing your own identity as a Christian is difficult at best. This group gathers to encourage and learn from one another.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
